Recent Work and a Knitted Elephant Obssession

A jointed cloth doll dressed in peasant style with and embroidered waistcoat.

Experimenting with new design.......a-a-a-a-nd!
KNITTED ELEPHANTS! I needed to write down my original pattern, which was stored in my head, so I had to knit a few more of these and take pictures. I now have a downloadable pattern available in my Etsy store

Your dolls are, as always, beautiful. But I confess I'm jealous that you can knit elephants. I can't knit to save my life.

Thanks Jan! these are pretty easy to knit - just based on balls and tubes and knitted on four needles, but I guess if you cant knit (few seams and mostly plain knitting), that might seem impossible! I do love an old-fashioned knitted toy - something very comforting about them. :-)

Susie... the new doll design is delightful; simple and childlike in invoking my imagination!
